Day 1 - Thursday
September 11, 2025
Travel/PARIS
Arrive in Paris and transfer to our hotel. We will gather for dinner and our "Welcome Meeting" with Lucy. Next, Lucy will do a presentation on the Notre-Dame Cathedral and share her experiences being present during the reconstruction.

Day 2 - Friday
September 12, 2025
Paris
Today we will spend a wonderful day in Paris! We begin with a visit to the beautiful, and newly restored, Notre-Dame Cathedral! Next, we head to the Musée D'Orsay to see the paintings of some of France's incredible impressionist painters, then it's lunch on your own. Then it's on to the Musée de l'Orangerie to see eight of Monet's most beautiful masterpieces, the Water Lilies.
In the evening, we will return to the hotel where we will have dinner, time for a Q&A with Lucy, and discussion. Afterwards, there will be book signings and selfie-time with Lucy.

Day 3 - Saturday
September 13, 2025
Van Gogh & Monet
Today, we continue our exploration of the works of Claude Monet and the life of Vincent Van Gogh!
After breakfast, we head to Auvers-sur-Oise, the town where Vincent lived and died. We will follow in his footsteps around the town, including the lovely Church, the subject of one of his most famous paintings. We will complete our visit paying respects to Vincent, and his brother Theo at the town cemetery.
Next, we head to Giverny to visit the magical home and gardens of Claude Monet and enjoy lunch on your own. When finished, we bid a fond farewell to Lucy before she returns to London, as we leave for Caen. Dinner is on your own.

Day 4 - Sunday
Septemeber 14, 2025
Normandy
Caen and the Landing Beaches
Today, our adventure continues with a full day tour of Normandy. We will see the Benedictine abbey of St. Stephen, founded by William the Conqueror in 1063, and serves as his final resting place. Afterwards, we leave for the Caen Memorial Museum to see its incredible exhibits on 20th century history, ie: World War II, the D-Day Landing Beaches and the Battle of Normandy, a recreation of underground bunker of German general, Wilhelm Richter, the Cold War and an incredible new 360 experience on European history. Next, we leave for Omaha Beach and visit the beautiful American Cemetery and Visitor's Center. We return to our hotel and dinner is on your own.

Day 5 - Monday
September 15, 2025
Mont St. Michel Abbey,
St. Malo
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Following breakfast, our guide will take us to see the wonderful Mont St. Michel Abbey, where monks settled in 966 and construction began in 1023. The abbey was used for religious purposes, then as a fortress during the Hundred Years War, and a jail during the 17th century, after which it fell into disrepair; ultimately being restored during the 19th-21st centuries. You will have free time to explore the abbey and have lunch on your own. Next, we will visit Saint-Malo, a port city that is surrounded by granite walls and was used by privateers (the king's pirates!). Our guide will take us around the city to see the most impressive sites. Dinner is on your own.

Day 6 - Tuesday

Tour: Castle of Angers
Villandry: Castle & Gardens
After breakfast, we leave for the land of magical French castles, Tour! We will visit the Castle of Angers which dates back to prehistoric times and served as a fortress and palace to the Plantagenet kings. Later, the castle became a prison and was under the leadership of the real D'Artagnan, the famous Musketeer! After our visit, enjoy lunch on your own. Next, we travel to Villandry to visit the Castle there and its magnificent gardens! In the evening we will go to our hotel for dinner on your own.

Day 7 - Wednesday
September 17, 2025
Chartres Cathedral,
Paris
After breakfast, we begin our return to Paris. We will stop in the village of Chartres to visit the beautiful Our Lady of Chartres Cathedral; considered "one of the most beautiful and historically significant cathedrals in all of Europe." Afterwards, we continue on to Paris for lunch and exploring on your own. Dinner will also be that evening on your own.

September 18, 2025
Leave for home
We will transfer to the airport for our return trip home, taking with us connections to new friends and memories of a wonderful adventure!
